# Day 1: Private Drive to Ijen Crater from Malang or Surabaya
16:00–18:00 : Pick-up from your hotel, train station, or airport in Surabaya or Malang by our private driver.
18:00–00:00 : Begin your scenic road trip toward Ijen basecamp of Post Paltuding or parking lot in Ijen crater are, approximately 8–9 hours drives.
The journey takes you through:
* Lush plantations of coffee and cloves
* Charming rural towns and rice terraces
* Coastal roads with glimpses of the Java Sea
* Stops a while for meals, restroom breaks, or coffee/ tea time are available at your convenience.
Optional tour Activity (only if early departure around 08:00–09:00): If you can start in the morning time, you will have a chance to do Taman Safari Prigen tour >>> Stop for 2–3 hours at one of Indonesia’s premier safari parks. # Day 2: Ijen Blue Fire Tour Experience and continues to Mount Bromo Sunset View
00:30–02:00 : Arrive at Paltuding Basecamp, prepare for night trekking with a safety briefing and gas mask fitting.
02:00–04:00 : Start your night hike to the Ijen crater rim (~3 km uphill, moderate difficulty, ±1.5 hours).
04:00–05:00 : Witness the mesmerizing blue fire—a rare natural combustion of sulfuric gas, only visible in darkness.
05:00–06:00 : Enjoy the sunrise illuminating the turquoise sulfur lake and surrounding caldera. Watch local miners begin their daily sulfur harvesting—an unforgettable and humbling sight.
Notes >>>: If crater access is restricted for safety reasons, the trek will begin at 04:00 to catch the sunrise from the rim.
06:00–08:00 : Descend back to Paltuding and relax.- Short rest or optional local breakfast (own expense).
08:30–15:00 : Continue the journey to Mount Bromo (±5–7 hours depending on traffic and road conditions). Enjoy scenic views of rural Java with stops available for toilet breaks, snacks, or meals.
15:00–16.30 : Arrive at Bromo National Park area. Switch to a 4WD Jeep to begin your desert adventure.- Drive across the surreal Sea of Sand (Pasir Berbisik), a volcanic plain of fine gray ash surrounded by mountain peaks.
Walk or ride a horse (optional, not included) across the sand toward the base of Mount Bromo. Climb 250+ steps to reach the crater rim, where you can peer into the smoking volcanic cone.- And then, Take in the panoramic view and snap memorable photos from the top.
16:30–17:30 : Return to the Jeep and head to a local restaurant for an early dinner or coffee break (own expense).
17:30–18:00 : Make your way to Mentigen Hill to catch the sunset (weather permitting). This quieter hill offers a peaceful spot to reflect on your journey as the sun sets over the volcanic landscape.
