Trip Schedule
(3 Days 2 Nights)

Day 01: Shared departure from South Bali – Gilimanuk Ferry – Ketapang – Probolinggo – Mount Bromo

♦ 11.00 – 13.00: Prepare for your scheduled pick-up at the designated meeting point in South Bali. One of the suggested meeting areas is around Sunset Road, Kuta. The exact pick-up arrangement will depend on the shared transportation schedule.

♦ From South Bali, travel by shared vehicle toward Gilimanuk Ferry Port, located at the western end of Bali Island. The overland journey generally takes several hours, depending on traffic and the pick-up location.

♦ Around 17.00 – 18.30 Bali time: Arrive at Gilimanuk and board the public ferry to cross the Bali Strait toward Ketapang Ferry Port, Banyuwangi, East Java. The crossing normally takes around 1–1.5 hours, depending on ferry operations and conditions.

♦ Please note the time difference: Bali is one hour ahead of Java. An arrival at approximately 18.30 Bali time is equivalent to 17.30 Java time. Actual arrival times may vary depending on the ferry schedule and crossing conditions.

♦ Around 17.30 – 18.00 Java time: After arriving at Ketapang, meet the Java-side driver and continue the journey toward Probolinggo. This transfer may take approximately 5–6 hours, depending on traffic, road conditions, and any additional participant pick-ups.

♦ During the drive, there may be opportunities to stop at a local restaurant, fuel station, or public rest area for meals, refreshments, and toilet breaks. These stops depend on the group's requirements and the journey schedule.

♦ Around 23.00 – 24.00: Continue from the Probolinggo area toward the Mount Bromo region. The drive to the designated jeep parking area generally takes around 1.5–2 hours.

♦ Upon arrival, meet the local jeep team and prepare for the early-morning excursion to the Mount Bromo sunrise viewpoint.

>>> Notes:

~ The first day involves extensive road travel, a ferry crossing, and a late-night transfer. Travelers should be prepared for a long journey with limited rest.

~ The transfer from Ketapang to Probolinggo may include additional pick-ups for other participants. The actual travel duration depends on the number of pick-ups and traffic conditions.

~ The itinerary and transfer times are estimates. Please follow the latest operational instructions provided before departure.

Day 02: Mount Bromo sunrise – Crater hike – Overland transfer to Banyuwangi

♦ 02.30 – 03.00: Meet the local jeep driver and begin the journey toward the Mount Bromo sunrise viewpoint in the Tengger highlands. The exact departure time depends on the group's arrival and local operating conditions.

♦ Arrive at the viewpoint and enjoy the early-morning scenery as the sun rises over the surrounding mountains. On a clear day, you may see the volcanic landscape, Mount Bromo, and Mount Semeru in the distance.

♦ Take time to appreciate the changing colors of the sky and capture photographs of the dramatic mountain panorama. Sunrise visibility depends on weather conditions, cloud cover, and visibility on the day of your visit.

♦ After the sunrise experience, continue by jeep across the impressive Sea of Sand, a vast volcanic plain surrounded by the slopes of the Tengger mountain range.

♦ Upon reaching the jeep parking area, continue toward the foot of Mount Bromo. You can cross the sandy terrain on foot or choose an optional horse ride, which is available at an additional cost.

♦ From the base of the volcano, climb the stairs leading toward the crater rim. The ascent involves more than 250 steps, and the walking time depends on your pace and physical condition.

♦ At the top, enjoy the view into the crater and the surrounding volcanic landscape. From this viewpoint, you can appreciate the distinctive scenery that makes Mount Bromo one of East Java's most recognized natural attractions.

♦ Around 08.00 – 09.00: Return to the accommodation in the Mount Bromo area. Enjoy breakfast, take a shower, and prepare your luggage before checking out.

♦ After checking out, depart from the Mount Bromo region and continue the overland journey toward Banyuwangi, the gateway to Ijen Crater.

♦ Spend the evening resting and preparing your trekking equipment before the scheduled departure for Ijen Crater after midnight.

>>> Notes:

Day 03: Ijen Crater night trek – Blue fire opportunity – Sunrise – Banyuwangi drop-off

♦ 00.00 – 00.30: The shared driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Banyuwangi and transfer you to Paltuding, the main starting point for the Ijen Crater hike. The drive generally takes around one hour, depending on your accommodation location and road conditions.

♦ Upon arrival at Paltuding, prepare your trekking equipment and complete the necessary arrangements before starting the hike.

♦ Begin the ascent toward Mount Ijen, which usually takes approximately 2–3 hours, depending on your walking pace, fitness level, and trail conditions.

♦ After reaching the upper section of Ijen, the group may continue toward the crater area to observe the blue fire, provided that the route is open and the Ijen authorities permit access.

♦ The Ijen blue fire is a natural phenomenon created by the combustion of sulfur gases. When conditions are suitable, visitors may have the opportunity to witness its distinctive blue glow during the night.

♦ Following the blue fire excursion, return toward the designated upper viewing area and enjoy the sunrise over the Ijen volcanic landscape.

♦ From the upper area, take in the dramatic crater walls and the striking turquoise-green sulfur lake. You may also observe sulfur miners carrying heavy loads of sulfur along the mountain trail, depending on visibility and the activities taking place that day.

♦ Around 06.00 – 11.00: Begin the descent toward Paltuding after enjoying the sunrise and taking a short rest. The return hike generally takes approximately 2.5–3 hours, depending on the trail conditions and individual walking pace.

♦ Upon reaching Paltuding, meet the driver and return to your accommodation in Banyuwangi town.

♦ At the accommodation, you can have breakfast, take a shower, and collect your belongings before the end of the tour.

♦ The Bali to Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater shared tour package concludes in Banyuwangi, East Java. The onward journey to Bali or another destination is not included in this package.

>>> Notes:

~ Ijen blue fire access is conditional. The opportunity to see the blue fire depends on weather, volcanic conditions, safety regulations, and permission from the local authorities. It cannot be guaranteed.

~ Alternative Ijen trekking schedule: If night access is unavailable, conditions are unsuitable, or participants are unable to undertake the night hike, the standard Ijen trekking program may be arranged with a later departure, subject to local regulations and operational arrangements. The blue fire will not be included in this alternative.

~ Crater access restrictions: Descending toward the crater edge is subject to safety assessments and authorization from the Ijen authorities. If access is restricted, the group must remain within the permitted viewing areas.

~ The itinerary is subject to change depending on weather, road and ferry conditions, local regulations, operational requirements, and the physical condition of participants.
