Trip Schedule
(1 Day 1 Night)
Day 01: Evening shared departure from Lovina / Pemuteran – Ferry crossing – Ijen Crater night hike
♦ 20.00 – 22.00: The shared pick-up service will begin in Lovina or Pemuteran, with the pick-up time depending on your location. From there, travel by shared vehicle toward Gilimanuk Ferry Port, situated at the westernmost end of Bali Island.
♦ Around 24.00 – 01.00 Bali time: Continue to the ferry terminal and cross the Bali Strait by public ferry toward Ketapang Ferry Port in Banyuwangi, East Java. The vehicle arrangement and ferry crossing will follow the shared transportation schedule.
♦ Please note the time difference: Bali is one hour ahead of Java. The arrival time at Ketapang Ferry Port will therefore be approximately 24.00 Java time, depending on the actual ferry schedule and crossing conditions.
♦ Around 24.00 – 06.00 Java time: After arriving at Ketapang Ferry Port, continue by vehicle for approximately 1 hour toward Paltuding, the main parking and starting point for the Ijen Crater trekking route.
♦ Upon arrival at Paltuding, prepare your trekking equipment and get ready for the night hike toward Mount Ijen.
♦ The ascent toward the upper Ijen area generally takes around 2–3 hours, depending on the walking pace and physical condition of each participant.
♦ Upon reaching the upper area of Mount Ijen, the group may proceed toward the crater edge if the weather, safety conditions, and permission from the Ijen authorities allow access.
♦ If access is permitted, you may have the opportunity to observe the Ijen blue fire phenomenon from the designated viewing area.
♦ After the blue fire activity, return toward the upper crater area to enjoy the sunrise and the impressive volcanic scenery surrounding Ijen Crater.
Day 02: Ijen Crater sunrise – Descend to Paltuding – End trip in Banyuwangi
♦ 06.00 – 11.00: After enjoying the sunrise and taking a short rest around the upper Ijen area, begin the descent toward Paltuding parking area. The downhill trek generally takes approximately 2.5–3 hours, depending on the condition and walking pace of each participant.
♦ During the descent, enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery before returning to the main starting point at Paltuding.
♦ Upon reaching the parking area, continue by vehicle toward Banyuwangi town or Ketapang Ferry Port, depending on your selected drop-off arrangement.
♦ The shared journey from North Bali to Ijen Crater concludes in Banyuwangi, East Java, after the trekking activity and return transfer.

~ Access to the lower edge of Ijen Crater is subject to terms and conditions. If the Ijen authorities do not permit visitors to descend toward the crater edge, the group will remain in the upper area to enjoy the sunrise and panoramic view of the green sulfur lake.
~ The blue fire activity is conditional. If weather conditions are unsuitable or the Ijen authorities do not permit night trekking toward the crater area, the blue fire activity will not be possible. The trekking arrangement and departure time may be adjusted according to the conditions at the time of the visit.
~ The itinerary is subject to change depending on weather, ferry operations, road conditions, local regulations, and the physical condition of participants.
