Experience the majestic sunrise over Mount Bromo in this 2-day tour from Bali. Starting with a scenic overland and ferry journey from Bali to East Java, this tour takes you across Java’s dramatic landscapes, ending with an unforgettable view from one of Indonesia’s most iconic volcanoes.
Tour Itinerary
# Day 1: Bali to Mount Bromo – Stay Overnight in Bromo Area
08:00 : Pick-up from your hotel in Bali (Kuta, Seminyak, Ubud, Sanur, Canggu, Lovina, or Pemuteran). A private, air-conditioned car/minivan will take you to Gilimanuk Ferry Port (approx. 3–4 hours).
12:00–13:30 : Cross the Bali Strait via public ferry (1–1.5 hours) to Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi, East Java.
13:30–20:00 : Upon arrival in Java, continue the journey by private car to the Bromo area (approx. 5–7 hours). Stop en route for lunch at a local restaurant.
Evening : Check-in at your selected accommodation near Mount Bromo (Cafe Lava Bromo, Lava View Lodge, SM Bromo Hotel, or similar).
# Day 2: Sunrise vier and Mount Bromo tour – Back to Bali
02:30–03:00 : Wake-up call and jeep pick-up at your hotel. Head to a sunrise viewpoint such as Penanjakan, King Kong Hill, Love Hill, or Seruni Point.
04:00–05:30 : Enjoy coffee or tea while waiting for sunrise. If the weather is clear, admire the panoramic views of Mount Bromo, Mount Semeru, and the surrounding Tengger Caldera.
05:30–06:00 : Drive down by jeep to the Sea of Sand.
06:00–08:00 : Optional horse ride or walk across the volcanic plain to the base of Mount Bromo. Climb 250+ stairs to reach the crater rim (2,329 m above sea level) and witness the incredible active crater from above.
08:00–09:30 : Return to your hotel for breakfast, a shower, and packing.
09:30–16:30 : Drive back to Ketapang Ferry Port in Banyuwangi (approx. 6–7 hours) passing villages, rice fields, coastal roads, and white-sand beaches of Situbondo.
16:30–18:00 : Take the ferry back to Bali (1–1.5 hours).
Evening : Upon arrival in Gilimanuk Port, transfer to your final destination in Bali using a private car and driver. Drop-off at your hotel in Bali area. End of Services.
